Charity quiz at The Parvin raises £455

A Charity Quiz night at The Parvin Indian Restaurant, Haxby, took an unusual turn on Monday as teams from Hunters Estate Agents from across the region along with regular quiz teams gathered together to raise money for the Nikki Waterhouse Trust.

The star guest for the evening was Shaun Wallace, an english television personality from The Chase, who bravely took on one question from each team for extra points.

Andy Galloway, the quiz master said: “As always it was a great night with a fabulous atmosphere and fantastic food. We were so pleased to be able to support The Nikki Waterhouse Trust which was set up to help children and young families in need, when Nikki was tragically taken from us just over 4 years ago.”

The Nikki Waterhouse Trust is dedicated to helping children under the age of 18 and their families who are victims of war, natural disaster, catastrophe and serious illness.

The Parvin supports many local charities by holding at least one quiz night every month and Monday’s quiz saw an extra £455 being added to an impressive £50000, which has been raised over the last 6 years.
