The York Mediale Festival is a 10-day citywide programme of exhibitions, live performances, music, dance, and more – and it’s coming to York.
This creative event will demonstrate how today’s technology can be incorporated into art, and how this can challenge our lifestyles and our surroundings. Featuring world premiere commissions from leading artists, prepare to be blown away by works like no other.
Tom Higham, Creative Director of York Mediale, says: “We will be commissioning and exhibiting exciting work from visionary artists, and working with the community and creative partners from the ground up, to create work that is challenging, inspiring and a lot of fun – we want people to experience something completely new, unexpected and different.”
The festival opens on 27th September and will provoke, inspire and celebrate art in York until 6th October.
