It’s October. And we all know what that means: Halloween. While it may have morphed into a somewhat ‘cute’ event for some, with youngsters pottering about dressed as vampires and ghosts and asking for sweets, we prefer to be scared.
So, where better to go this Halloween than our very own York Dungeons? With terrifying live actors standing by to make sure you scream at least once, you’ll hear the tales of Guy Fawkes and Dick Turpin, as well getting a gruesome glimpse into history of the famous Plague. The team behind the creepy attraction are going bigger and better than ever before with new shows and events – and more cobwebs than you can shake a feather duster at.
Now, don’t say we never give you anything. Because here in the Your Local Link offices, we’ve battled an army of ghosts and goblins to get our mitts on six – yes, SIX! – family tickets (that’s four people per ticket!) for you lucky readers.
To be in with a chance of winning a ticket for your family, just answer this simple question:
What date is Halloween?
a) 25th December
b) 31st October
c) 14th February
Send your answer (along with your name, address and daytime contact number) on a postcard marked ‘York Dungeons competition’ to the address on page 12, or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The competition ends on 22nd October so don’t delay. Terms and conditions apply. Good luck!
