    - THE YORKSHIRE MUSEUM OF FARMING -

also home to THE DERWENT VALLEY LIGHT RAILWAY

The Yorkshire Museum of Farming -  Murton, York, North Yorkshire, YO19 5UF.

A visit to our museum and park will help visitors learn about the history of farming and where our food comes from.

With displays explaining the seasons of the farming year, the history of animals on the farm and how the nation responded to the challenges of war time, there is a lot to see and learn.

We have a large outdoor play and picnic area, nature trail and animals to see.

At various times throughout the year groups of historical re-enactors will be staging exhibitions and demonstrations of living history on the various education sites around the museum.

Check our website www.murtonpark.co.uk for full details.
