Raj, a former business studies student said he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps as an entrepreneur rather than go to university.
Raj said:“I gained experience working in the restaurants and helping my father out. I liked how he was running things and thought I would like to do that myself one day.”
He said the 70-seater restaurant has been completely refurbished in a contemporary Indian style and will serve traditional Indian food with specials by a top chef from London.
When The Raj opend in October 2012 , it was our mission to provide a superior indian dining experience by offering dishes which were more focussed on rich flavours than hot spices, set against the contemporary background of a modern restaurant.

‘My food and service speaks for itself’ says Raj. ‘All my local regular customers get a free drink after their meal just to show them my appreciation and how much I value their custom’.
