An effective way to achieve better health and wellbeing by doing safe, evidence based exercise that can be especially helpful for those with mobility problems and long-term health conditions.
The FABS programme combines exercises relating to activities of daily living that can be adapted to suit different levels of ability by doing them seated, with chair support or free standing.
The programme was developed at the University of Birmingham and incorporates Flexibility, Aerobic, Balance and Strength exercises to improve mobility, confidence and independence.
Location: Huntington Methodist Church
Time: Every Tuesday 10am - 11am
Classes consist of 45 minutes of exercise and fun, followed by a chance to socialise over a hot drink and biscuit.
