Blossom Street Gallery are hosting an Automata exhibition from the 3rd November until the New Year; the first in York since the Automata Museum closed in 1996. The Gallery will be home to some magical examples of mechanical art and kinetic sculpture, created by a host of local, national and international artists.
There will be pieces by one of the UK’s foremost makers Keith Newstead, along with Matt Smith, Carlos Zapata, Rosie O'Connor and Lucy Jean Green - the list of contributors keeps growing! This fun-centric exhibition provides a perfect opportunity for us at the gallery to support the work of The Island, a local children’s charity which provides mentoring services to children and young people based in York. Do call in and prepared to be enchanted and amazed!
