To raise money for the Little Linac project and to celebrate 70 years of the NHS, we are hosting a charity concert. There will be a range of music and readings during the evening, all performed by members and friends of IPEM. Money raised will go towards providing all children under the age of 16 who are undergoing cancer treatment with a free kit of play bricks to make a modal model treatment machine.
As well as our President Mark Tooley performing a classical piano pieces, there will be the chance to hear The Trueman Trio, a string trio known for their performances on York Hospital Wards. There will be pieces performed on the violin, the flute and the alto sax, as well as a performance by our very own IPEM Voices Choir. In addition we have a Scottish medley played on the bagpipes, and some traditional Welsh folk tunes.
This is going to be a great evening and includes reflections on science in the NHS as well as giving you the opportunity to find out more about the Little Linac project.
