Carluccio’s in York has launched its Christmas Deli, offering tasty Italian treats for under the Christmas tree.
Shoppers can get their hands on the Italian sweet breads that Carluccio’s has become known for. A particularly delicious gift, Panettone al Limoncello, comes coated in white chocolate with candied lemon peel and filled with a limoncello filling. For pasta lovers there’s a hamper including four pastas, four sauces plus a ravioli stamp and recipe. As well as luxury hampers, wine, oil, vinegar and chocolate sets are available to purchase.
The Christmas Menu, which you can view here, will launch on November 15th costing £19 for two courses.
Carluccio’s is found in the Grade-II listed building that used to be Terry’s Chocolate Shop and Tea Room. The restaurant blends original features lovingly restored by English Heritage with contemporary design details; the two floors are connected by a grand staircase which was designed by the same company as the famed piece on the RMS Titanic. Diners can eat in the originally wood-panelled spaces or have a cocktail in Terry’s bar, which used to be the original Chocolate Shop.
