In recent years, a small team of people in York have taken part in the International Day of People with Disabilities. This year, the event is the 3rd December, which also happens to fall in Disability History Month.

For a third consecutive year, the team are looking for events for the 2018 International Day of People with Disabilities.

Previous events have included workshops on music, writing and poetry; theatre; art exhibitions; and comedy relating to, by, and for, people with disabilities.

There are already some fabulous activities on the list, including an all-abilities goalball tournament, and a poetry slam.

Want to add your event to the big day? If so, it must be held in accessible venues within and around the City of York, and run between Saturday 24th November and Friday 7th December.

Contact Marilyn Crawshaw at marilyn.crawshaw@york.ac.uk for a submission form – all events must be submitted for approval by Wednesday 31st October.
