A coveted York Pre-school is letting parents know that they have a limited number of spaces available.
Phoenix Pre-School/Under Five’s, founded in 1998, is located in the Groves area of York and reflects the diverse background and culture of the area.
There are 24 places a day and a small team of qualified and experienced staff on hand who are eager to learn, create and grow together.
The preschool is located within the annexe of Park Grove School, and as well as a dedicated indoor space, there is also access to the outdoor play spaces, including the forest school and outdoor classroom.
The team works closely with the Early Years team of Park Grove, to tie in planning and ensure smooth transitions for those children progressing onto Park Grove School.
Phoenix Preschool has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas of a recent Ofsted Inspection.
The primary aim of Phoenix Preschool is to give children in the community an opportunity to develop intellectual and social skills through play.
The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum gives structure and guidance to this practice in a caring environment.
Pre-school Manager, Jasmin Walker said: “We aim to make a high standard of preschool education available to as many children in the local community as possible and in particular, those wishing to progress to Park Grove School.”
