York’s Chocolate Story celebrates 50 years of the After Eight

York's Chocolate Story, the museum of all things sweet on King's Square, invites you to dinner. No dinner party would ever be complete without the tasty treat that is After Eight. Incredibly they were invented way back when in 1962 by York's own Rowntree's.

The minty after-dinner accompaniment will be taking pride of place in York's Chocolate Story throughout September. Visitors can discover what goes into making the After Eight so delicious and see them being made by hand, as they originally would have been, by our very own Chocolatiers.
